Treaty of Xàtiva was signed in 1244 between the Christian King Jaime I of Aragon and the Muslim commander Abu Bakr in Xàtiva in the Iberian Peninsula. The treaty lays out generous terms of surrender to the Moors where they are allowed to hold on the Castle of Xàtiva for a period of two years before handing it over to the Christian monarchy.
